One Of My Favorite Motivational Songs

Hero by Superchick
This is one of my favorite songs, because it gives such valid points. In this society we don’t think about what consequence our harsh words could have on someone. We don’t think about the cashier’s life, or about why she rang us up wrong, we don’t care, we just snap at her. We don’t think about the bill collector’s life, we just blame them for our high heating bill. You never know who you will impact, and how what you say or do will impact them. You always want to make a good impact. Leave a lasting impression, but not because they have you in mind when they take their life.

Below is the first verse, and the chorus. Check it out:
No one sits with him, he doesn't fit in
But we feel like we do when we make fun of him
Cause you want to belong, do you go along?
Cause his pain is the price paid for you to belong
It's not like you hate him or want him to die
But maybe he goes home and thinks suicide
Or he comes back to school with a gun at his side
And a kindness from you might have saved his life.

Heroes are made when you make a choice
You could be a hero - heroes do what's right
You could be a hero - you might save a life
You could be a hero- you could join the fight
For what's right, for what's right, for what's right

Singing Her Way Into Harvard!

I thought I'd share this video with you because this girl rocks! Yes, she does happen to sing and play the piano like myself.

While I do not think that not getting into Harvard would be a crisis, I still love the tenacity and talent of Grace.

Enjoy the travels on your musical journey!

Singing with the Symphony

Hello, my name is Dakota and I've been playing the piano for over nine years and teaching for over three. I play other instruments too, the violin and guitar. I really love to sing as well. I took some voice lessons, which I strongly recommend. Afterall, your voice is an instrument too. With good instruction and lot's of practice I was able to sing with the Northwest Indiana Symphony. Watch my video, and then visit my website at http://www.pianolessongirl.net/, leave me a comment on YouTube, I'd love to hear from you.

Enjoy the travels on your musical journey!
